Notes:
-Animal is getting a standard intro but then MS makes a funny "We play it every night...that we perform...sometimes I sing it by myself...but it's kind of boring without the band."
-Sitting Still is noted as a request "It wouldn't be my choice personally, but I actually enjoy singing it. It has no words whatsoever from beginning to end. So sing along. Ok, there's a few words." After the song MS discusses the end of the Titanic movie and "I wish I had time to see it". He goes on to note Celine Dion is French Canadian, and he over-used the term free-associate in a conversation that day.
-Before Cuyahoga, MS relates a conversation he had "with my nephew, he's 9 years old. His mother, my sister told him that I was going to be in Las Vegasd tonoght. He came to Vancouver to see us start the North American tour and I think it's the first time that he understood what I do and that Peter wasn't a bad guy for taking me away all the time. So he has some idea of Las Vegas I guess, for a 9 year old that lives in Georgia. He asked me if I was going to gamble first off and then--I'm not advocating anything. What does that mean in 2003 I don't even know. I'm very confused right now. Anyway he asked me if I was going to gamble and hea asked me if I was going to wear an evil warrior outfit. And I said 'It might be a gamble if I choose to wear an evil warrior outfit'. So in dedication to my 9 year old nephew I put on my badass jacket tonight."
-Before Find The River MS sends the song out to Wilco. PB is on a different page though and plays the wrong intro. The song is aborted MS "Ok, we have to decide what song we're going to play. I hereby retract sending that song out to Wilco. So anybody who clapped for them can you please clap in reverse?" PB again hits a sour note to start the song but quickly recovers and the song is played with no further issues.
-MS introduces Nightswimming as "about memory and what it does to you". He also asks for a show of hands from people who remember where they were two years ago (this being the 2nd anniversary of the 9/11 attack) then quotes a line from People Have The Power. He sends out the song to some frinds who came from the east coast. The song is aborted a little past halfway and MS is mortified to have dropped the ball at such a poigniant moment "Hold on, I think I fucked that part up. I'm sorry, hold on a second. This has never happened before". He restarts the song a capella and the band joins in to finish the song.
