Timeline notes: Wow, the first known performance of 'Permanent Vacation' since 23 January 1982! (as R.E.M. - it was played as the Hindu Love Gods without Stipe on 14 February 1984 with Bryan Cook).
Notes:
-Before Drive MS notes playing in Vienna exactly 4 years earlier with Patti Smith.
-Before Maps & Legends MS thanks the crew for helping them work through some technical issues and the trin operators on the U4 line for agreeing to work an extra hour to get everyone home after the show. He also note that Maps & Legends was a request from the website. After the song MS "On my way here today I saw some posters up for Patt Smith. She's playing in two weeks I think. I want you guys to go see her because she is fucking shit on a stick. She's the real thing. Just like me that's right. I had to learn it from somebody. Peter Buck and Patti Smith."
-Country Feedback solo 1:30. Ms notes it is also a request and "I'm going to do some rambling poetry stuff at the beginning, so don't anyone be thrown off".
Before LMR MS asks MM if he should use the Iggy Pop microphone or the Robbie Williams microphone. [MM] "It's a tough call. Are you going to dance?"
-MS fumbles around a bit before Permanent Vacation, as if he cannot believe he has agreed to do this.
Grade: C
-Average sound lots of clapping & bad singing
