Timeline notes: 'Wolves, Lower' is played for the first time since 19 September 1989. Before 'Stand' Stipe sings 'Welcome To The Dollhouse'. Jun-Ching Lin on Violin & Deborah Workman on Oboe join Michael & Mike on 'Nightswimming'.

Notes:
-MS sings a snippet "Welcome to the doll house" I think he is referring to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEmjNad85yg.  He goes on to say "Peter decided earlier this afternoon that we're going to play a song that we've only performed three times on this tour--is that right?  Ok.  Because we fucking hate this song!  It's horrible, it's awful, it's bad...bad, bad song!  Actually we kind of like it, that's why we're going to play it".  He dedicates the song to the Italian Fan Club who traveled a long way to see the show and who "Watched us almost get killed in Bologna--chased through the streets.  It as very romantic and very dramatic".
-Standard intro for The Apologist.
-AMMB is dedicated to the band's "Very, very dear and lov-ed mothers--did I ust say that?  [MM] Yes you did]  [MS] I've been reading Shakespere on the side" and families despite it being sappy and menopausal to do so.
-After Pop Song 89, MS "I'll tell you man, people are funny.  I'll tell you why: all the way through the song I'm like boom!  And everyone's like boom!  And there's this one guy right here, he's like [crowd laughs]. We do this really old song it's got a line in it it goes 'take a picture here'.  Some poor slob 10 feet back always, always.  I'm telling you this will be the worst photograph ever taken by mankind.  Some poor guy always takes a picture on that line.  Flash!  A little instamatic (?) there.  Can you believe it?  Isn't life strange?  We're just a bunch of weirdos aren't we?  All of us".
-Encore break after Walk Unafraid
-As MS is warming up for his solo songs he comments "Oh by the way I have trouble reading things sometimes about the shows.  I thought what Myriam (?) said about Bill last night, what she said in the paper today was really very sweet.  I just wanted to say that.  It was good to see him".  After a few lines of Falls To Climb he pauses to say "This has nothing to do with my comment about Bill just now.  I just wanted to say that too".  He finishes up with FTC and starts in on Hope before stopping again "Can you believe Kansas?  That whole thing about creationism versus...What is that?  What is that? [note: I was living in Kansas at the time and we couldn't believe it either] I mean here, our home state provided Gingrich to the whole world but we didn't advertise it on purpose.  We have kind of middle age policy sodomy laws but we don't advertise it on purpose.  These guys hired a publicist from Hollywood to talk about their religious beliefs.  I can't believe it.  It's embarrassing".
-After Tongue  MS promotes Project Open Hand & thanks Wilco for touring with them on their last set on the tour.
