Notes
-Before Begin The Begin MS's here & now bit followed by "Does everybody like what they picked out to wear tonight"? He also states that they haven't played this song during this tour which is not true, but it had only been played a couple previous times.
-After Daysleeper MS asks for some wine then seems to answer a question from a newspaper article "Hey paper people. Well we only did that song one time. We don't like it that much, but thanks for asking".
-After TOIL MS explains that PB has a gesture that means 'Something that's past us'.
-Standard intro for The Apologist. MS notes a fight after the song "That was pretty ugly. Stay away from pork chops buddy".
-Before The Great Beyond MS notes that PB did the setlist but they changed it around. Also he gives a standard intro for the song, but includes "You guys know about movies right? I mean Hollywood is dead. It's all in Toronto now right? [someone plays the first few notes of Oh Canada] You can't walk down Younge Street without tripping over a movie star. It's kind of sad. Peter saw Kim Basinger today. That was pretty cool".
-Before Find The River, MS tells the story of he and MM driving up and down the streets of Miami late at night working out the vocal parts to the song. I documented this story in an earlier show (1999-08-13) but this is only the second time he's told it.
-Before Hope MS references his story about introducing Patti Smith and Vic Chesnutt from the previous night and notes another great songwriter Mary Margaret O'Hare is from Toronto.
-After Tongue MS promote The Massey Centre. He also notes he is wearing different shoes tonight and MM chimes in "Aren't those Peter's shoes?" He also decides that his pants are too big and won't be wearing them on stage again.
Grade: F
-I listened to this on my headphones, would not subject my speakers to all the popping. The sq is not too bad, just has some physical defects. Not all pops are noted, there are many.
