Notes:
-Rare for a Monster show to open with something other than ITYN or WTFK?
-NS befoe Band & Blame "this is my hat and these are my glasses and this is the next song".
-Before Wake Up Bomb MS polls the crowd as to who attended the previous show. He adds that he has to explain why he goes to one side (to hear PB's amp better) or that side (to hear MM's amp better)
-Before Drive MS "I was was in a car, it was an 85 Jag, a black 85 Jag and I drove to the arizona State Fair and got my picture taken with my friends. And if you look behind you, you'll see a ferris wheel because we're at the Texas fairgrounds. I think that's pretty cool".
-Binky get a short 'I laid the sidewalks' intro
-MS notes that singing some songs makes his stomach hurt still. Also he adds to the count of the times The One I Love has been played in the last 6 years (5).
-MS starts his between song banter in his falsetto Tongue voice after that song.
-MS tells a fan they won't be playing the song he is requesting on his sign and points out Anthony Keidis uses a music stand also. Then "We all know Newt Gingrich is from Georgia" then seems to give a t-shirt away before MOTM.
-Country Feedback solo 1:17
-After Country Feedback MS "Two things: I used to live in Texas in a place called Coppers Cove. And once a year for one week, crickets would invade the small town of 6,000. It was a pretty new place, a lot of brick buildings. Crickets would crawl into the mortar between the bricks and all the buildings would be black for like a week. And then, inexplicaby, they would all die. And the smell of all those dead crickets was overwhelmingly bad. That was numer 1. Number 2: hen I was a teenager, I must have been a pre-teen because I wasn't allowedo stay up past 10:30. My parents would let me stay up and watch the Carol Burnett show if I had good grades and stuff. [gets wires tangled] I saw Carol burnett do an interview on the Mike Douglass show or something, Patti Smith and Carol Burnette were on the same show or something like that and she talked about doing this outdoor show, and it was at night time and there were lights and all these bugs would come flying at her because of the lights, and she got one in her mouth. Well I haven't gotten a bug in my mouth and I kinda hope not to throughout the evening but I just had to kill one that was half-dead so that kid of sucked. It was a praying Mantis. Here's a pretty cool song that has little or nothing to do with animal life in Texas".
-Before Departure ms "Last time I was in Dallas I was with a friend of mine, that's who this song is about".
-Before band intros MS announces they "are trying a little experiment tonight" which seems to be having Java played on the keyboard accompanied by bass drum while MS goes through his usual thanks and late show announcements and chiming in some lyrics here and there.
-MS invites audience to take off their clothes before Pop Song 89
-Landslide and Ghost Rider are tagged before ITEOTWAWKI
Grade: B
-little bit distant but above averge
