Notes:
-Master version on HD
-This is one of those shows where Micheal lets some people get to him
and goes off a couple of times, even calling someone
a 'motherfucker'. It's a pretty unique show, and combined with the
decent quality.
(at the beginning of)
-Pop Song: MS: Thank you. This is my hat.
-McCarthy: MS: Stay on the floor, please.
-Occupation: MS: We're not taking requests tonight, thank you.
Welcome to the 90's. America has fallen into a great depression and
the Japanese have taken over. We welcome you. Please come. You're
certain to do a better job than that which is being done now.
-O.Crush: MS asks the crows to give the people up front a break and
back up. 'more....more....more. If it happens again, we'll have to
stop playing'. Do you suppose it will happen again?
-Birds: MS: (people still shouting out requests) It's my show, shut
up. (more requests shouted).
-World Leader: MS: (in response to the guy who is getting him pissed
off) You know where we came from. Crowd: 'where you goin?' MS: I'm
going to New Zealand, where are you going?
-Wolves: Stip urges everyone to step back again, and the request is
met with audible insults and more requests. After a breif pause,
Stipe finally replies: 'I wish we had a translator here for rednecks
or something. This is getting a little absurd. We came here to
play for Japanese people. Keep it down.'
-Stand: MS recites the pledge of allegiance, then says 'I'd like to
thank all the polite people in the audience for being polite. This
song is a big hit in the USA.'-you Are The Everything: The band has
had it's fill. MM:'Why is it always the Americans that are
assholes?' MS tries to continue: 'This isa song of peace and love
throughout the world. I wrote it myself. It made me cry.' This,
of course draws much ridicule. Someone yells:'what country are you
from?' MS replies:'I'm from Georgia, which is in the southern part
of the United States and if you don't like it, I told you where the
door was. You could walk right back out motherfucker! Get out of
here! And if you don't think I mean it, I'll send a couple escorts
to help you.'
-Strange: MS introduces this song as a song by the band Wire
-Begin The Begin is introduced as "A fast song about changing your priorities".
