-Before Exhuming McCarthy MS "This is a really special song...with an introduction this evening.  A special song whic is sent out to a very special group of people, That is to say the graduates of the fine Southern Methodist University.  This goes out to all the graduates of the past and the future".
-Before Driver 8 MS "There's a phenomenon going on tonight here.  When you were a little kid and you had fireflies and moths and went around after dusk.  You remember right?  Yeah I thought so.  This is completely rhtorical and requires no response, just nod your head please. You always hear about moths going to the light this is a thing here in this room there's a lot of dark out there then there's lights up here so automatically you look at the light.  If you were in a room and there was one pinhole of in one wall of light bieng refracted, light through a pinhole in one wall of one room completely dark, you would look at it so unintentionally all your attention is focused towards the light, which is what we're standing under which makes us so to speak the point of attention.  Well I can see...simply because I am in the light, so to speak, I can see those of you who are not in the light, so to speak.  So these people right here, I'll just tell you that that last song is about a man named Howard Finster and his ability to take a box of newborn kittens and wake them up with an air compressor hose turned on full blast.  So don't sit down no matter what they say behind you".
