Comments: Here is a very nice REM concert I recorded from right behind
the soundboard. I had just plugged in my mics...and they started...then
I pressed record...missed a second or so. During Auctioneer had to flip
the tape...missed just a bit there. Otherwise, this recording is
complete. This was a period of REM I really enjoyed.

I noticed there is an incomplete version of this concert around from a
different recorder. This recording has never been traded, and is
uncirculated.

Notes:
-Running time is 1:51:40
-Plays a hair slow by my ear
-Before I Believe MS in his southern wise man voice "Listen here...wake up.  Get yourself...out of bed.  Throw off...that skin...that you learned...how to wear.  Take a walk...take a run.  Keep some advice...for the fun.  Shut your mouth...when I talk...'n listen to me".
-Before Auctioneer, MS tells of a phone call with his grandpa he had at the age of 11, which is basically the 1300' deep well story.
-The tape flip during Auctioneer is super fast, if you're not paying attention you will miss it.
-Extended guitar solo during 7:00 Oddfellows Local 151
-During the interlude of ITEOTHAWKI MS includes The University of Wisconsin in his 'let's talk about' monologue.  Interesting choice considering they are playing at the rival University of Michigan that night.
-During thank-you's MS adds "Don't eat meat, don't worry about school, don't listen to your parents and don't phone home.  Above all, don't worship false idols".
-The music to Pop Song '89 is fully formed but the lyrics have a long way to go.   This is the second time it has been performed.  After the track & before Just A Touch, MS "That was the future, this is the past".
-Before See No Evil, MS promotes Pere Ubu's material while BB is in a holding pattern, repeating the intro.  When MS is done talking he says "Take it away Pete!" and he does.

Grade: A
-Arguably best aud recording of this tour.
