Timeline notes: One of the few R.E.M. shows that ended early - after many repeated attempts to get the crowd not to crush the stage ("Simon says take two steps back"), a girl who has fainted is lifted over the barricade, prompting a very upset Stipe to run through 'Femme Fatale' and then the band leaves the stage. Gary Zekley joins the band on 'Superman'. Peter Buck played guitar on 'She Said She Said' during The Feelies set.

Notes:
-The pleas for crowd control begin after Pilgrimage
-Before Cuyahoga MS "In between Los Angeles and New York City the is a place called The United States Of America.  This may seem foriegn to some of you but please bear with me.  Granting unusually unparralleled acces to the continent are these things that are called rivers.  And every now and again, there's a river that's named after, this is very popular in New Jersey I think, they take the Indian names and apply them to other things.  This particular name was one that meant dying young (?)".
-Before Superman. MM "I like to think that I write some pretty good song.  Some people write really great songs, and they only have two chords in them.  This is Gary Zekley, he wrote Superman.  Of course we're not going to play it tonight".
-Auctioneer intro very similar to previous night, with the addition of "Kiss the girls, make the scream.  Kiss the boys, make them ding...alings. Dashiel Hammet wrote about the things he couldn't be...Errol Flynn".
-MS bails out of Diver 8 pretty quick, as the band carries on for a bit.  PB does some ad-libbing on guitar as the song loses momentum.  After the song is ended MM and then MS implore the crowd to move back.  MS "she's worried about her parents, she might have broken a rib".
-One of the Best Femme covers, really nailed the vocal harmonies.

Grade: A
-There was a touch of static/mic noise present, I failed  to note which tracks.

notes: according to R.E.M Timeline, after many attempts to get the audience to move back, a girl fainted and had to be lifted over the barricade. During Driver 8 Michael stops singing, but the band continues to play for a minute longer before stopping. Just before Femme Fatale Michael returns to the mic and gives a brief mention/update of the incident. After Femme Fatale he says goodnight and the show is over. The taper paused the recorder during the encore break, so the break is not split into it's own track. Barely worth mentioning, there are a couple of moments where the taper was adjusting or otherwise jostling the mic causing some spots of static. Gary Zekley from The Clique, joins the band onstage for Superman. Lastly, as at several dates on the tour, Peter Buck joined the opening act, The Feelies, for a cover of The Beatles' "She Said, She Said". Part of this song's performance was taped and included in this set. The song is incomplete and distorted for the first few seconds. This is the only portion of the Feelies set that was taped.
