Timeline notes: Opening for U2 in front of 50,000 people. From the book Remarks - The Story of R.E.M. by Tony Fletcher (pg.82), "The 50,000-strong crowd was in no mood for a band opening a set with as downbeat a song as 'Feeling Gravitys Pull', and the group spent the entire set dodging missiles, the most common of which were plastic bottles full of urine".
Notes:
-The boys cranked through this short set without any mention of the missiles described above. During the 1985-07-11 Portland show MS does mention that they are "glad to be back after 3 weeks of Europe". Maybe he was having flashbacks of piss missiles.
Grade: B
-Runs a little fast. Loving the pitch adjustment on my new Tascam CDA500.
