(Timeline) notes: A very unusual show, it sounds like they had a few too many pre show cocktails before going out, in particular I Got You Babe, with Mills and Stipe butchering the song is hilarious, and Six Stock Answers sounds (in my humble opinion) absolutely awful, which makes this show a must have!
The Community Trolls is comprised of Stipe and Matthew Sweet
This show can be found on the CD bootlegs "20th Century Boys' Volume 1" and "20th Century Boys' Volume 2"
Notes:
- Before I Got You MS: This is not out of respect.
- MS sings part of the chorus of Talk About The Passion in French (?)
- First recorded performances of Camera, Little America, Letter Never Sent
- Lyrics from LNS seem to be in progress as MS ad libs quite a bit about Athens
- 9-9 is played for about a minute, then aborted and someone admits 'I fucked that up. Sorry about that guys.'
- MS tells a incoherent story about the Community Trolls and a fat man from Atlanta before Six Stock Answers
- While the sound is generally excellent, there were a couple spots where I noticed some digital artifacts (perhaps from NR)
Grade: A
